Program Information
DCO Tours are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Harris County Civil Courthouse.
- The Harris County District Clerk's Office serves the judicial system and the public by:
- Managing and creating court records and court orders
- Assessing and collecting court costs, fines and fees
- Processing passport applications
- Managing the juror summons process
This tour will give you an in-depth look at what we do by exploring the different departments within the District Clerk's office. You will also get a chance to see some historical documents from as far back as 1870.
(Tours are unavailable December 16 - January 20.)
To Schedule a Tour
You will be contacted by the tour coordinator to confirm the date. Once confirmed, you will be asked to send a roster of attendees, adults/chaparones inclusive. You will also be asked to download and complete
the Media Consent Release Form for each attendee under the age of 18. Please bring the signed forms with you on the day of the tour.
College Students for Docket/Trial Observations
To visit and observe dockets/trials as part of your class/course requirements, visit the District Courts website: https://www.justex.net. Select the jurisdiction that bests fits
your inquiry, i.e. Civil, Juvenile, Criminal or Family. For more information, click on any of the courts hyperlink(s) listed to speak with a member of the court.
